Just had some dry hips installed, but there’s no membrane underneath. The unions are screwed directly into the batten underneath. Quite large gaps under the hip tiles. Should I be worried?

Hi all, Just moved into a new place and inspected the roof, which looks quite tired in this section. Anyone any ideas how long this will hold out and whether it’s a case of having to replace the whole roof ? Thanks
