Has the gas annual check been more restricted?

A gas analyser is used to check products of combustion which if outside parameters set they can be classed as dangerous! You engineer is right to use his and his costs are probably below average! Let him get on with it. The cost of running gas analysers is not cheap as they have to be calibrated...

Which of these boilers would you recommend?

I wouldn't have an issue fitting any of those boilers! Although I'd swap the worcester 30si for a 34 cdi mainly for better hot water so long as you have good flow and pressure on your mains!

    hot return

Basically yes, but if the cold goes in at top of cylinder make sure it has a dip tube so that it enters at bottom of cylinder!
  16. N

    hot return

Why would it effect reheat time? If there's no demand then the cold will not flow and therefore not effect anything.either way the cold enters the cylinder and will be always cold wherever it enters, so the return mixing with the cold when it enters can't be any different to the cold hitting a...

    hot return

Yes you can. If it's a large property then you may need to balance the return with lock shields (gate valve type) or oventrop valves.

    hot return

Yes you need the furthest point but think of it as a loop. If there are sections that tee off to another part of the building then again these will return at the furthest point and and can tee into the return back to the cylinder. What type of cylinder is it? You can tee the return into...
