    Tudor Boards - replacing

Get tudorboards in Cannock to send you a sample of their polyurethane. It’s expensive but fit and forget. Best stuff we’ve ever used. Work out the cost of two lots of timber and scaffolding over a 20 year period and see how close it is to the polyurethane cost doing it once. https://tudorboard.com/

How to mount gutters to pent roof log cabin?

Quickest way is to have an internal outlet going through the roof through the soffit.

    Anthracite grey fascias/soffits/guttering/windows

Anyone else notice this is being done to death? It’s like the new thing. I’m undecided.... saw a nice row of terraced houses today all in white with white windows and then...BANG, looked like Lord Vader had taken residence. On a 5 bed detached with the right kind of roof tiles maybe but on...

    EPDM prep

We started doing epdm roofs when they came on the scene in the uk about 15 years ago and the firestone training video said glue deck and rubber. Then Permaroof changed it and said only glue deck but cause we’re set in our ways we’ve carried on doing both because we think it’s easier for the...

Reroofing car port with PVC - what order to do things?!

Why don’t you do away with that nasty corrugated shyte and get yourself some 16mm poly with timber supported bars, piece of cake to fit you’ve got lovely supports and it will look really nice. Probably £400 in materials excluding your lead, you can walk on it (the bars bit) and if a tile falls...

    EPDM prep

    GRP / EPDM or other

Bear in mind fitting epdm where lanterns are involved is a ball ache when it comes to flashing up the lantern kerb and the corners. Personally I think epdm is best suited for a plain sided roof. If you do fit epdm then board the hole where the lantern will be so the rubber doesn’t sag down and...

Can I insulate my conservatory roof like this...?

You could as a temporary measure but it will look a shower of shyte.

How would a uPVC conservatory be strengthened to support a solid roof?

A full timber deck with joists, insulation, OSB and epdm will be a bit too heavy for an old conny, the guardian roofs are lightweight and better thermally than an 8 inch joist with insulation.

I think that redland spirtech is fully waterproof but about £200 a flippin roll.
