Advice for heavy/fast rainwater missing my guttering

There are lots of different ways to slow the water down such as some lead, or angling some pipe across the roof rather than straight down or cutting the pipe differently etc. have you got a picture of the setup?

    Water getting onto fascias

Yes because generally when we remove fascias the mortar under the bottom tile falls out as it usually has its own piece of undercloak separated from the rest of the gable undercloak due to the bottom tile kicking upwards.

    Old roofing membrane. Possible Asbestos?

I always thought it was some of the external mineral flat roof felts that had ACM’s. if you are just installing eaves trays/extra layer of felt then usually it’s not notifiable for underfelt unless you are stripping the whole lot out.

    Garage asbestos roof repair

It’s actually better to jet wash the roof as long as you spread your load. The blast will get rid of the moss and because it’s all Soaking wet you won’t get any azzy flying around in the air. Then on a nice dry day you can put your coat of acrypol on it.

Struggling to find a roofer and quote? Verges pointing

Just don’t use whoever did the fascias. My word the detail over the chimney. :( Putting Hollow soffit, ogee cappit and white square gutter on a nice old house like that is like putting a set of alloys and a spoiler on a 1920’s vintage car.

    152mm to 110mm Gutter Union

There isn’t one. And even if there was one the chance of lining it up properly would be a long shot. You need to fit a stopend on their 6 inch gutter and a stop end on your deep flow gutter. The stopends will need to be butting up to each other hard and use solvent cement between them to bond...

Quote for replacement of soil stack

Soil stacks are an absolute ball ache to deal with. You can spend an hour just trying to disconnect the WC once you’ve messed about carefully hacking out all the render without cracking nearby render.

    Carpenter wants un-agreed sums,

People always think the grass is greener. I had a guy work for MwRoofline as a fascia fitter PAYE taking home £400 a week for 8 years. Ok it’s not fantastic money but he had van and fuel provided as well as all tools and clothes and boots etc, use of the van when he wants (he didn’t have a car)...

Connecting drain pipe to highway drainage?

I have no idea but freezing water on the footpath and Mavis slipping over on it on the way to work on an icy morning is going to be bad for you.
