    The boiler will only have frost protection providing it has a permanent live supply to the boiler.... otherwise the honeywell one is doing its job as it should...however make sure it is turned down to 3oC if it is the sort that is adjustable.... the system should have a pipestat aswell to...

    Can you have sludge build up in the DHW heat exchanger?

    If it is slow water delivery then it will be a scale build up however if the water coming out the tap has the correct flow and pressure but is cool due to the boiler not heating it correctly then it may be a resricted Plate Heat exgr.

    Check for soot build up on the ignition. Easy to check... look out you instructions first for the coalbed positions before you start and get a big sheet to cover floor with. remove loose coals and front long bed.... hoover out soot at burner and test. Replace coals in correct order...

    these can go very tight!!! Try some WD40 down round the join where the number '0' is and all the way round, leave to soak overnight, then some brute force!!

    I still have not managed it, get annoyed and rip the whole thing out, spend less time mucking about, then get it back in double quick!! I just make sure I always have the o ring pack in my van stock and plenty silicone grease!!!

    Have you managed to get the top plate off the diverter Nickso without taking the whole thing out?? I do too and thats not bad going for a first attempt.... how many leaks were repaired Tony after trying to turn on cold mains and refill CH system?? :-D

    check the fuse in the top left corner of the board, banging in may have move the fillament in the fuse and made a connection for a moment.

    there should be a stat on the side of the tank....not on the immersion! If not reduce the stat on the front of the boiler.

    If your quality is high and you are good with best advice then new performance scheme is ok but the F/T completetion needs to be higher and the recall rate is a lower target now! I have found having worked at both ends of the country that there is a lack of experience in the south (ie London)...

    Sorry I got the terminals wrong as I was doing it from memory!! You dont need the neutral wire by the looks of it!! Digistat > Wiring Centre 1 > 4 2 > 5
