Brickwork mortar 1:11 cement to sand mix?

Friend of mine had R*dr*w rebuild his house after defects were discovered. A development just outside Sittingbourne. I am sure they eventually bought it back off him, knocked it down and then rebuilt it. If you look at the NHBC directors you will see that they are all directors of the big house...

    Post Office and Horizon

Post office cant afford to ditch it and there is no replacement on the cards at the moment. Fujitsu will not handover the code and have the PO by the short and curlies. Source is watching the PO inquiry for hours on end and reading some of the more relevant statements from the idiots in charge...

Forget about it and move on. Regardless of any maintenance those fence posts wont last long and will eventually need replacing. Then is the time to have the discussion.

Laminate work top step in from standard depth to slim

Oak effect laminate or the wood blocks glued together? I think I would either use a curved edge between the two or a diagonal 45 degree rather than the stepped edge. Why not have a trial run with the existing worktop before you ditch it using both options of square and curved edges.

    Wacker plate weight

You could always lift in 2 stages, ground onto a hop up or similar then into the car. I manage to lift mine into my trailer on my own but I wouldn't want to do it every day!

Identifying which car these brake pads fit

Go out to your car and pull away at about 5mph. Brake and if it makes loads of grinding noises and the car keeps going the brake pad belongs to you. If it stops as you would normally expect it belongs to someone else. How are you going to pop round to the garage, in your car so they can check...

Zanussi Fridge Not Getting Cold Enough

White goods generally have a shelf life of 7-10 years. If the thermostat is cheap enough may be worth a try. Is the fridge rammed with stuff or can the cold air circulate, defrosted, air space at the back?

Allen key head had sheared in pump head bolt!!

I know it wont help you but it may help someone else. As already stated some times nipping them up a bit can help get them free. Never undo one bolt/nut all the way before the others have been loosened. Get it moving half a turn then do the same for the others. Working opposite sides can help...

How to calculate correct tyre pressures?

The link refers to cycle tyres and on.y goes up to 2.80 width but I would suspect the principle is the same. Google AI gives 25 to 30psi https://cycling.hutchinson.com/recommended-pressure/

How to calculate correct tyre pressures?

Start at the recommended 35psi and drop them 2psi at a time until you find what is comfortable. 10 is too low but 28 or 30 may be more comfortable.

    HT lead keeps coming off

That out of focus shot looks as if the centre contact is two halves in which case and depending on the part it clips in or on you can either open out the halves or squeeze them slightly so that they grip better. So if it plugs in open them up a bit and if its into a peg then you could close...
