Tappety Tappety Tap noise when water is running

No woodpeckers (that I am aware of) and no scale reducing wotsits either. I think it must be contractions - expanding etc....It isn't a loud noise...more of clicking.....and it doesn't really bother me to be honest, just wondered what it could be, and if it could be something bad. Cheers.

Tappety Tappety Tap noise when water is running

Hello people, me again. This maybe really trivial for all of you Plumbey people out there. Basically whenever I run water (Hot or Cold), I can hear a tappety Tap Tap noise coming from what can only presume is the pipes. The thing that is weird is that I would maybe expect this if it was hot...

I have only managed to find this one in B and Q http://www.diy.com/diy/jsp/bq/product/product.jsp?CATID=86735&entryFlag=false&PRODID=176980 which does NOT look like the existing one I have. Although it may work??????? I think that it is the original ball valve from the mid 80's and probably...

Water dripping from over flow pipe in loft...

I have bent the arm slightly (well actually more than slightly) but the problem is still persisting, I think I will have to buy a new wotsit. Can I buy decent parts from B&Q or should I go to my local Plumb Centre? Thanks.

What is typically the normal temperature for Hot water?

I have no idea.....I don't have Central Heating if that makes any difference? It is just a big tank....but I think it is too hot. So it is just for hot water and not anything to do with central heating. It has just the one heating element in it at the top. Does this help? Thanks
