    Simply use two picture hooks fitted to the wall, equidistant from your centre line and hang the picture in the tried and tested way on a wire or similar but strung over the two hooks...pinenot :)

    Truss clips, if anything at all. Personally I would skew nail them to the wall plate, dwang (noggins) them full depth, within a few hundred mm and apply the fascia etc. ...pinenot :)
