Makita wins hands down over Dewalt. I've had Dewalt for years and due to getting fed up their tools not lasting anywhere as long as they should do, I'm slowly changing over to Makita when the Dewalts break down, and so far have been very pleased with them.

I have both corded and cordless circular saws, I only really use the cordless for notching joists as when you try to use it for panels, etc it goes through batteries faster than you can charge them up.
