replacing my thermal store and boiler…Help in specifying

Next thing you know Ray Tay will be saying he used to work up by the airport in Blackpool. When you actually look at it the system mate it was pretty much an overcomplicated worthless piece of junk. It only has one plus going for it, and that is legionella protection as there is no stored...

replacing my thermal store and boiler…Help in specifying

First thing is most of the new builds with a boilermate and suprima 80 usually feed about a 5 bed 3 bath house, so IMO a 35kw combi would not be suitable. Second is if you take the front off the boilermate on the pcb by the little LED display there are two little buttons. If you scroll through...

    Bath legs short

The main support for the bath is the 3/4 chip board that moulded into the base of the bath that the brackets screw directly into. The wooden blocks /frame the black supports screw into usually just split anyway and definitely wouldn't support the weight of a bath full of water with a person sat...

    Vaillant ecoTEC plus 428 f27, f64 & CON error

I think you'll find that on a vaillant 400 series you can get to the pcb without breaking the seal to the air box Tony

Worcester Greenstar 24RI - Heating Staying on

Do you hear a clicking noise from the boiler when it should be off. This boiler can sometimes continue to fire with a small residual voltage that comes from the 3 port valve. If it makes clicking noises you might just need a capacitor wired in at the boiler to stop this.

Hot water, no heating. Help please!

You need to check that you have voltage going to the brown wire on your heating valve. If not then you are looking at a problem with the controller or wiring.

    DREADED IDEAL BOILER

Flow switch on an Isar?????? Personally I just thought dhw demand is picked up by thermister.

    What's this valve for...?

It's corroded because your rough plumber didn't clean the flux off the pipes after soldering the joints.

    Saunier duval isotwin f24 e a

Sd and old glow worm products share the same fault codes. Get your engineer to check there is power going to the fan. Most parts are the same and if it is the fan I would be surprised if you couldn't get one that fits.

    Installing UK purchased boiler abroad

Bit of a dodgy one this. There is a good chance the boiler will work even with the lower gas pressure but it's not just the gas, how reliable/stable with the electrical supply be. Will the earth connection be good enough and then what if something does go wrong. Are you going to ship parts...

    Boiler - explosive ignition

I think both your problems are unrelated. Common problem for pressure loss is the rubber flexible hose in the back left hand corner just below the main heat exchanger. As for loud ignition there are a few things that can cause this and will need looking at by your service guy.

Glowworm Micron 60FF wont start fan comes on for few seconds

Off the top of my head the manufacturer part number should be 2000801991. Yours should be the TPO pcb with pump overrun. The 30-50 has a NTPO pcb with no pump overrun. Glowworm have used 3 versions of this pcb all look completely different to the last.

Problem with Vaillant ecotec plus 831?

Do you have a vaillant vrt470 controller fitted?

    Glowworm HXi noise at starting

Possibly due to the gas valve struggling to open up so when it goes through the ignition and lights up the mixtures are wrong causing the noise. Then after it's opened fully it works normally. It's difficult to be 100% sure due to the fact that combustion readings will always be funny during the...

    Boiler warranty problem

Just to let you know, it's most likely that you have a blocked plate heat exchanger. Heatline is part of the vaillant group so it's very unlikely they will repair it under warranty.

    Thermal Store Replacement Advice

It definitely sounds like a circulation problem but I'd be looking at restricted flow through the boilers main heat exchanger rather than blockages in the boilermate.
