Help - Cant lift recessed manhole cover

Hi I need to investigate a blocked drain to see if I can resolve it myself before resorting to calling in a pro, but I can't lift the recessed cover in my garden. I can access the lifting keys no problem, but it won't budge. Two of us have tried lifting and the weight (even with slabs inset)...

new mixer shower, plus pump=weak/no cold water! Help please!

been spending a bit of time with the pump manual (i didnt install it so to be honest was not too familiar with the instructions) and have read that "all up and over pipework must be vented at the highest point on the outlet of the pump..." Page 1, point 13...

new mixer shower, plus pump=weak/no cold water! Help please!

ok, thats helpful. Of the two option you mention which will likely be most cost efficient / produce the better results? I appreciate if that may not be easy to predict. If i were to go with the esp pump, is there a particular model you would recommend? The Salamander range seem fairly...

new mixer shower, plus pump=weak/no cold water! Help please!

pump starts and runs ok, still a little sensitive to changing the temperature and raising up the showerhead. I would suggest there isnt much more than one metre between shower head at normal upper usage position and bottom of cold water tank in loft.

new mixer shower, plus pump=weak/no cold water! Help please!

    1) No, from tank to pump, pump, down under floor to shower (shown up from floor in pic 1 above). 2) Yes, with good pressure 3) No, not when turned full on cold. Short flow (as described above) when turned on 'cool' (part hot, part cold) then cuts out cutting out pump. Uploading a photo...

new mixer shower, plus pump=weak/no cold water! Help please!

to elaborate a little on the problem... If turning the shower on full cold we get nothing but a dribble. If we turn it on 'cool' we get a short flow of good pressure before teh water warms slightly as the cold flow reduces and then cuts out completely (cutting the shower and pump off). The...

new mixer shower, plus pump=weak/no cold water! Help please!

hi, i wonder if someone could offer some advice. We have recently had a new thermostatic mixer shower installed, along with a twin pump. The cold is direct from the the tank in the loft above. Hot to the shower runs just fine, but cold is pretty much just a dribble. It flows for a while...
