How to glue hardboard to p5 chipboard?

reason you cant find a answer is because what you want to do is not a recommended way of installing hardboard. Also Hardboard is a very budget way of preparing a subfloor that is only any good for floating floorcoverings. Tell me more why you want to do this and maybe we can suggest a...

    very hot 13 amp plugs

hi everyone. I have had a look at a socket and i cant find a make. It has all the BS numbers etc inside but no make. I 'think' they may be B&Q sockets as i recall the sparky saying he purchased a load of CU units and sockets from B&Q at a great price. Anyway, some of the sockets are...

[/url] Hi, Thats the one. I didnt touch the pins on purpose. It had just been unplugged and i went to move it grabbing the plug ! Ye, i also think its crap. You seem to get a lot more heat out of a normal domestic fan heater. However if its using 3kw of heating power then i pressume...

Advice please with levelling concrete floor for solid oak

floating solids is a big no. Solids move around a lot more than a engineered. As a example- for ever 1%mc change the face of a solid will move 0.25%. So if we had a 4% MC change the solid wood will now expand by 1% of its face size. Lets take a 100mm wide product. If we had a 4%mc...

What to do about cracked UFH screed

Mac, Anhydrite is a pain in the bum. It is fairly new in U.K. It is used over underfloor heating as it 'flows' so minimizes voids. Due to this it can be laid thinner. It is also much faster to put down as its pump applied and almost self leveling. That is the + points ! The negatives...

    Self levelling compound problem!

as your fitting a solid i will presume you are fitting the correct way which is to glue it down? There are only a couple of latex smoothing compounds that you can bond to. You need a 25nm strength compound and above. Most latex products are around 6-16 nm so no where near suitable...

Levelling a Quarry Tiled floor ready for solid oak flooring

quarry tiles need to come up, dig down a massive 7cm or so and install DPM, insulation, screed. Really is not a big job and for the size you quote it will be done in 1 day? Are you really sure you want to float a solid on underlay? Floating floors became fashion for fake wood- like...
