In that case I think I'll just build it the height that I want regardless. Worst case scenario all I have to do is set up the laser level and run a jigsaw along the fence panels to reduce the height... At least I can grow some 80ft Lleylandi in the meantime :roll:

Just a random thought but if you have a multi meter you could always check the resistance between these pipes and your internal gas/water pipes. Obviously if there's little or no resistance you know what they are. If there's a high resistance that wouldn't disprove they're gas/water pipes...

An extension is going up but will be entirely within the blue line. If they'd let me build the extension over the sewer it would be good as I'd simply need to move the manhole cover and would still only have two turns in the line, else it needs redirecting as illustrated.

Sorry I didn't make myself clear, they won't move it at their expense of course, you can either pay them or use an approved contractor. The building under the blue line is coming down.
