Gate valve on DHW return (AGILE)

A non return valve fitted to the heating return (before the tee into the common return) may help your situation. Usually the DHW primary return is the last connection into the common return before the boiler, to reduce the possibility of heat gravitating into the radiators. James.

    Secondary ciculating pump

We know, but it's not just a case of throwing a pump onto the system. If you've got your heart set on using pumps instead of zone valves, you would probably need to install an open bypass for the boiler with the granny site fed by 1 pump and the existing system controlled by another pump. So...

    whooshing when valve opens

There could be a partial blockage. This usually occurs around the air separator. Can sometimes be diagnosed by running a magnet around the pipework and air separator. If it sticks, there is a presence of magnetite. If it doesn't stick, could still be some blockage. Personally I don't bother...

New Kitchen installation, thus moving of stop cock.

Professionally I wouldn't use a bib tap with a check valve: a) they should only be used to replace an existing bib tap with check valve (I.e. Should not be used on a new installation). b) you'll have a double check valve fitted upstream of the bib tap anyway. c) I've seen many bib taps with...

Well that's it then, in your opinion, the OP doesn't know what the guy did, so in your way of thinking this thread is pointless. I must have missed where you were explaining the reasoning for calling me a young pup? I've heard of Jim, Jimmy, Jimbo, Jimbob but never Jaz, even amongst my...

    advice on fitting magnaclean pls

How complicated do you want to make it? Change a pump valve to 22mm, hoping that you don't disturb the seal on the other side of the pump and use a 22mm x 28mm reducer below the filter to try and save a few quid? If I was doing what you suggest for a customer, your option would be more...

What does that mean Richardthe3rd? Please show me some respect that I deserve by at least spelling my name correctly. I may forget to stop my computer from auto-correcting your name to what Steelmasons and many others on here aptly name you. What do you mean by young pup? A...
