Your plumber should do a heat loss calculation for your house. You won't run five bathrooms off a combi. You certainly should get three or four estimates for the work. You have an extensive, costly project. It would be a shame to get it wrong by going for the cheapest option.

The gas isn't cut off, it is turned off. Get someone to disc off or cap off the meter for you then you can wok safely inside. Don't let anyone work on your gas pipe work without doing this.

I think that what confuses me is that most DIYers want to look professional. Also they want to sell their homes at some point. Can you imagine what a surveyor would say? What about the embarrassment of having to call in a plumber to make it all work or fix a leak? I'm sure he will be polite but...

Weird, I've just picked this kit of my office floor where it's been knocking around for a couple of years. Had to google the gc no to see what it was. Cannot remember buying it. Glad to be able to label it at last. What isn't explained is how this page just popped up. :shock:
