Will Worcester Bosch Ri15 provide enough heat?

Should do it but if she is on her own then she should really think about a combi. It will save her a lot on hot water.

    COMBI BOILER

Atag can use a flexi up the flue. It'll have to be a new one.

convert a angled TRV to straight?

Drayton is an expensive valve. The heads will interchange but I doubt that you wil get a valve only without the head. About £15.00 I think.

Can I cover part of my cold air return with furniture?

Not really the best forum for you as we are all UK based. If you look at it logically though, do you think that you are restricting the air? If the answer is yes then you don't really need to ask do you. The issue for safety is whether the air you restrict is combustion air. If so then you...

How much should I expect to pay?

You must remember that we aren't simply selling you our labour. We do make a profit on boilers etc.. When I started out, it was normal for retail customers to pay retail price and you would not have paid trade price for a boiler. I usually make the sort of money you have been quoted. This may...

Can I cover part of my cold air return with furniture?

If you mean the ventilation for a boiler then you must not restrict it or risk concealing it so that it can get blocked with lint or dust etc..

Flow rate drops off too much - unvented cylinder

This isn't the whole story. You may have excellent pressure but if you have an inadequate mains flow rate, then the air bubble will act as an accumulator. So, you can geat a few litres at a good flow rate but once the accumulated pressure is depleted the flow rate will drop to that of the...

Should exterior boiler flues be watertight?

No boiler is damaged beyond repair unless the case is rotten or it has caught fire.

Pin hole leaks from hot water tank?

Sorry chap but it is new cylinder time. UK water is very aggressive nowadays and sacrificial anodes do not last as long as all that. Your cylinder is perished and will soon be a major problem.

Should exterior boiler flues be watertight?

Boiler cases are designed to be airtight at a few milibars. When there is ingress of water to the boiler then it will usually find its way through the seal. There has to be quite a lot of water though so I would definately get it checked.

    Worcester greenstar 30si problem

How on earth did the condensate trap on a new boiler get blocked. I have been servicing these for years and it takes about two years to get anywhere near blocked. It sounds as though you have a problem there and should get the installer of your new boiler back and slap him a few times.

Should exterior boiler flues be watertight?

If I fitted a boiler an water was running into it i would want to come and see if I had dropped a bollerck. If the gutter is at fault then get it fixed. I know that it is hard in your situatioin. If water is running out of the case then this is a potentially dangerous situation. It is in warm...

    bath too big for space

Had exactly the same problem today. I had to chase out 25mm from the back wall and similar from the tap end. You will have to take it it out quite high at one end in order to drop it down into place. Make sure that you don't leave too little room behind the taps.
