    Log Cabin Electrics

hello JohnW2, The cabin will be sitting on a 'footprint' of concrete around 5m x 4m. The concrete is approx 3m3 worth of material, so quite a depth. The cabin itself is 4.5m x 3.4m. The cabin has good solid floor bearers, sitting directly on the concrete. floor, which is then overlaid...

    Log Cabin Electrics

Thanks again ricicle, I think I'm 99.9% there on understanding this now. Its highly unlikely that I will add any more services, due to the work and complexity in getting them there! Just wanted to be sure that if I export the earth (i.e. not a rod) then that could be done with both...

    Log Cabin Electrics

Thanks for that sparkticus. I do have test equipment (used to do it for a living, but many years ago) Is there a way of visible recognition? Will TNS or TNC-S make a difference to exporting the earth to the log cabin? i.e. is one better than the other for this.

Hi Ricicle, I can confirm than no other services will enter the cabin. Thanks for the link to... (piranha nuts are in my opinion best) tbh the supplier didn't seem too sure as to tns or tncs. They were sure it wasn't tt though. Can you differentiate the two by looking at the...

    IP65 Junction boxes

perhaps it was a rhetorical question. No, in seriousness it was already installed, and I hoped the answer may have been that the gland would seal it. I'm now faced with adding a longer cable to feed underneath , hey ho! lesson learned.

    IP65 Junction boxes

Hello, Thanks again for your help on this, I have one more question. Where the cable enters the adaptable j.b. via the gland, is it a must that the cable should be looped underneath for rainwater run, or will gland seal sufficiently if its ran straight into the top of the box? Thanks...

    IP65 Junction boxes

Cheers just tried that with a stanley type knife, and the flex membrane on the jb is meeting up tightly & snugly with the back of the cable gland. Thanks for replies and help, sorted !
