Hi, Ive had that before after an heavy storm and was indeed water ingress but as its summer (although it is the UK so who knows) I would go with Sparks and say one of the switches has packed up. Assuming you haven't touch anything. :D

Force of habit for me but I always put the meter to OHMS and touch the red and black probe together. I had a dodgy probe years ago and just stuck with this quick and easy before use check.

Is there anyway of coming off your upstairs ring with a fuse spur? That way if you ever have to do any fault rectification on your upstairs lighting in the attic you will still have lights up there once you switch the lighting off on the CU.

What would be the best way to bet the water there? By that I mean the best looking way? Is it as simple as run 15mm in plastic to where I want it? I need to try and hide it really.

YESSS is an electrical wholesaler. I know TLC do them but it wont be delievered in time. Ill try a few more wholesalers where i live and if that fails ill fit a WYLEX one just to get it through the weekend and order a HAGER MCB from TLC. Thanks for your help
