May be end switch failed on 3 port valve so when calling for both it drives to mid position but when cyl stat satisfied won't make switch. For time being just turn cyl stat to max & blr stat lower
Very old boiler which doesn't have a pilot potentially very dangerous for anyone to mess with as it has a positive fanned flue so get some-one in or get rid
What with only 2 wires!! The digistat is a switch with an inbuilt relay operated by batteries so run a 2 core flex from room stat connection on boiler. If you are using a wireless digistat use 4 core live, neutral & as with hard wired
A common fault on these is the diverter valve. To test make sure htg is turned off & allow pipes to cool down turn on hot tap & feel 22mm pipes leaving boiler, If one of these is hot then you will probably have the earlier valve which will need changing as most of the blr performance will be...
If you have got a thermostat change it to a programmable one if not put in a remote timer next to boiler. The 4 wires are live & neutral then the 2 switching wires
