By their nature, once they are warm they will keep the heat well, plus your bodyheat will keep the inside of the gloves warm. Why not just turn them on for a few minutes when you first use them then turn them off. I doubt you will need to keep turning them on and off all the time!

The electrical circuit inside the mirror has developed a fault. Could be anything. If you feel competent in doing so you could open it up and post some photos. Might be something you can diagnose but i suspect you wont be able to fix it.

I tried to return some to Texecom a year or so ago that had this issue, they denied the fault and said they could not be returned as >2years old. Swines.

Does the TRV not go further round past the * setting? Modern ones have a full off position.

Logic says the next test is using a multimeter to measure any AC volts on the 3-pin output of the adaptor when plugged into the shaver socket. Measure L-N as the earth won’t be connected through.

You need to try and check the shaver socket outlet for AC volts, perhaps it’s duff?

If not already done so, measure some AC volts elsewhere to make sure your meter is working correctly.

Are you sure your multimeter is set to measure AC volts and not DC volts?

It can only be the socket itself. When you screw it into the back box, does the socket warp/bend/distort?

I'd get him back out to sort it, that looks like a right mess! Why has the joint been covered in silicone seal? If the compression fitting was fitted correctly there is no need for any sealant.

Personally i think Texecom is a far better, more professional solution than Ring. Ring is marketed at a more simplistic approach with a subscription model. What happens if/when you dont take out the yearly subscription? Limited functionality. What about when they continue to up the cost year...
