Maybe if we just knock that wall down.

Good luck. We had to put the steels in first as they are part of the roof of the extension to give us a single height ceiling from old to new.

    Steel bean cavity wall sizes

As an update the engineer didn't want to recalculate a more suitable beam with out charging at first and then not at all. His final statement was actually: "Looking through this email thread your criticism of what has been provided to date appears to be unfounded. To answer your question, I...

    Flat roof. Wooden beams

Hi. My structural engineer has specified my flat roof on my extension as below to house my 2 roof lanterns. Each "beam" is made up from 2 x 200x63 C24 timber. What he doesn't state is if these need to be connected together somehow. I would ask him but we have had a falling out (He won't...

SWA - Consumer unit or external box?

SWA - Consumer unit or external box?

Heh, that escalated quickly! Voting was 3 to 1 going straight into the Cu, so that's my plan. Cheers dudes.

SWA - Consumer unit or external box?

Thanks. The CU is metal. The SWA is 3 core. If you mean the earthing arrangement of the property it's TN-S.

SWA - Consumer unit or external box?

Hi. What are the advantages/disadvantages of either terminating some shed SWA directly inside the consumer unit or a separate box then onto the consumer unit? Cheers.

Maybe if we just knock that wall down.

If your self managing wave goodbye to nights searching porn, say hello to nights searching joist hangers and pipe fittings! Foundations are 600mm wide and same depth as the existing, 1700mm :-(

Maybe if we just knock that wall down.

WALLS! The plan has changed slightly along the way. A smaller sliding door, 7.5m instead of 9m is to be used purely because of cost. And that's where we currently are. Cheers.
