I don't think the data is out there yet, as to what a FTTP with phone connection only, would cost. If anyone was likely to get this, it was John, but he seams to have escaped it for now

How often so you need to do maintenance on it ? Once every 10 years! Far more likely to be changing a light fixture

They are no longer selling FTTC. You would only be on it if you had an internet connection. EE voip call costs are the same whether dialling a mobile or landline.

John I think you are over worrying. While FTTP was initially more expensive (and new build home owners were forced to pay a premium), it is now normalised. If you are being forced to move from copper phone line to FTTP phone only, I don't see why your contract should increase. For people on...

ppl won't be forced to have an internet connection. They will however, have fibre into their home, and a box very much like a cut down router to provide the VOIP Unless of course, common sense prevails. It's becoming a problem even getting a phone line with an internet connection these days...

There is another resetable trip at a lower temperature. Anyway this 75c sensor rattled. (And made contacts join). It was suggested that when the shower was turned off, temp. In the tank increased and caused failure. Some brands run on apparently to expel hot water.

Water can cause rust. Or dirt to move around. If you’re good at that sort of thing, you can remove the switch and take it apart and give it a clean with water and fairy. See if that helps Or will just confirm u need a new switch

well they allow socket rings, so I don't see why they shouldn't allow this! Much more likely to have an open wire on a socket ring

The sensor designed to trip at 75 was tripping, when it shouldn't. (non resetable trip)
