Small kitchen in a self contained detached annexe
Best way of connecting / cable sizing for an Oven & Induction 2 zone hob
Oven has plug on it and 2.2kw
Hob is rated at 2.8kw.
Is it best to run a 6mm to a single 32a dp switch , then a combined outlet plate behind oven
or is this overkill ?
So if timber kerbs are already built what flashing do I need to buy though??
Im obviously trying to avoid going above the 150mm (build regs) upstand height
We have a 15 degree pitched warm roof with Sarnafil.
It has 2 standard GGU MK06 Velux windows.
WHAT IS THE CORRECT FLASHING ???
Or Correct flashing method??
My carpenter has built the kerbs ready, to which the Sarnafil fitters have covered right over the top
I'm tired of going between Velux...
Apologies , for confusing things. I will put celotex between timbers, before plasterboard i believe i have to put a vapour barrier or foil backed plasterboard.
Im trying to avoid the cold bridging on timbers. I thought multi foil was ok as long as you had air gap one side. Therefore i thought...
Timber Frame annexe has cladding, battens, breather membrane, OSB, then 150mm timber frame wall
Inside:
celotex between studs
Then what's my best option as regards insulating, vapour barrier , service voids etc
A multi foil insulting vapor barrier seems a good idea ???
If constructing...
Yes I'm aware of what should have been done, BUT as it is now , can i rectify by adding additional polythene under the celotex too ??????
Im just concerned if that would have any affect. I intend to put insulation around the perimeter 'skirting board style' to combat bridging
see modified...
I have a timber frame structure mounted on concrete blocks around the perimeter, which are bedded on a concrete base. The concrete base has a membrane but is cut off flush.
as i'm doing a solid floor inc Ufh made up of 150mm celotex , a seperation layer then UFH stapled on top , before a 75mm...
Hi Garden detached room under construction .
Warm roof will be used (18mm osb then 100 celotex then 18 osb)
Query : Insulation with the eves at end of joist runs, as there are noggins etc
please see attached Before answering - thanks
Thanks woody
Do you mean tape over all the celotex or just the joints and joists
I normally tape over joints and joists as a rule - will this enable me to avoid putting polythene up , as long as monitor things as above
Woody Im confused little , please ignore my lack of knowledge;
Please note the construction -
Im' just concerned with finishing the ceiling.
Celotex is tight to rafters...from inside looking up
So if I fix a polythene vapour barrier straight to the celotex ?
Then the OSB 3?
sarnafil , underlay on OSB is main roof as its a single mono / low pitched roof
(so roof not breathable like tiled /breathable felt type)
There is 50mm gap above the 100mm celotex
new built detached outbuilding/store/workshop modern build
concrete blocks/cavity insulation/thermalite blocks inside (won't be skimmed or boarded)
floor insulated
mono pitched low pitched roof
occasional heat but more about keeping stuff dry as opposed to getting moisture damage in old shed...
