    Thanks for replying I do have a steamer but i found that it was causing making a bit of a mess and making the wall underneath susceptible to gouging - but think ill maybe use the steamer to get the few remaining larger patches out

    Im in the process of arranging to have one of our spare bedroom walls/ceilings plastered My question would be in regards to the lovely 80's ceiling artex we have in our bedrooms - would a plasterer be able to skim this or would overboarding be required? Ive included a picture below...
