    Kuppersbusch oven clock

Do the clocks on these older ovens have battery backup to prevent loss of time when the wall isolator is switched off? I've set it once and switched off at the wall for 10 mins and the time was still set whereas if off for a few hours, the time defaults.

    Vaillant combi connections

Of what I've read, the Honeywell T3R, which I installed, does have some intelligence built into it which seems to lean towards what OT is designed to do.

    Vaillant combi connections

Turbomax Vuw I was thinking of changing the CH to Open Therm but I looked at the combi board and it doesn't have an OT connection. Can anyone tell me what the 20v 7, 8 and 9 terminals in the image are used for please. There's no mention in the manual that I can see.

    Combi CH on/off

Its a Vaillant Turbo Max Vuw and I have a Honeywell T3R wireless thermostat. Can the boiler CH be left in the on position with the Honeywell used to switch on/off the CH as required? I only use Manual CH on the Honeywell.

    Brake pipe tool kits

Is there a good general purpose kit for all cars ? .....albeit we have mainly VW and Ford in our family fleet. Sadly none of the motor factors now make pipes now so I need to consider stocking up.

    ABS fault

@ £105+vat for a VW replacement cable, a run of 2 core soldered at the ends then shrink wrapped seems wise. Have been soldering for 30 years.

    ABS fault

Is it feasible to replace an abs sensor to abs module plug cable with two core cable soldered in at both ends to the original wires?

    ABS fault

I believe I found the culprit. The abs cable from the module to the sensor plug. Although I did voltage tests and the same on both sides, I've done continuity for each side cable. With battery disconnected and the abs sensor plugs shorted, I measured at the abs module plug. The LH was 0Ω...

    ABS fault

I fitted an Apec brand rear sensor to my own Bora TDI last week and that put the abs light out. With the one I'm on with now, I swapped the Apec sensor for a Delphi brand - the problem persists. I've checked both side cables off the battery terminals, live to - and ground to +. The reading...

    ABS fault

Sadly the front sensors are handed. I fitted an Apec brand sensor and although now owned by NAPA, presumably still a quality parts source? Apec part no ABS1005 front right and ABS1004 front left.

    ABS fault

The hub, inc reluctor ring, was replaced four years ago due actual damage to the old ring. I checked it whilst doing the sensor. Its the fact that the abs warning is flickering that bothers me.

    ABS fault

2004 Bora TDI Like my 2003 Bora TDI, I plugged my new Topdon scanner in to fault find. With the 2003, it reported a rear sensor which I replaced and that switch off the triangle and abs lights. With the 2004 I'm now doing, the warning triangle is lit and the abs is flickering as soon as the...
