Where do you fix the gutter? Please don't say the top course....because surely that will pop the bricks and isn't very good practise.

We have seen a few conservatory roofs replaced with zinc recently. Quite an expensive option but a long term solution :|

I feel for you in this position but new products carry greater risks. I know being a roofer means I'm biased but I see a roof as he most important part of any building. With that said It should be considered most carefully when choosing materials. I would love to know the price comparisons...

The only options IMO are lead, zinc, copper or stainless steel. Zinc should be the cheapest option and it wouldn't take a lot of work to convert from what you already have. I just wish I could stop this from happening. We see this everyday of the week from architects, builders, diyers....... I...
