    No water in pump!

I connected a hosepipe to the other pipe (either flow or return) , that seemed to help the radiators warm up a bit. I then drained the system and left it with water running through for an hour. Refilled, and it's not doing anything again! I think I'll call someone out on monday. Thanks...

    No water in pump!

Yes, hot water seems to be fine. You can hear the pump because there is no water in there. I'm wondering if moving the radiators has stirred up some detritus which has blocked a pipe.

    No water in pump!

I don't think I've got one then! My system is the same as this I think: http://www.deals4homes.co.uk/images/centheat1.gif Do you mean on the coil pipe where it runs through the hot water cylinder? As this is vented to the overflow in the CH expansion tank?

    No water in pump!

Yes, I believe it it. Would it be on the pipe from the boiler to the coil in the hot water cylinder?

    No water in pump!

Yes, it's definately turning! I've drained the CH a couple of times before and it's always been fine. Does the pipe that the pump is in go straight to the radiators?

    No water in pump!

I've taken pump off and their seems to be water there, so I don't know! Is the pump normally on the flow or return? Central heating still not working?

    No water in pump!

I don't think there are any bleed points in the airing cupboard. The Boiler (CH & DHW) is downstairs, the hot water tank is upstairs, about 2 meters from being directly above it. The water tank is directly above this. Then the CH water tank is directly above that in the loft. There is water...

    No water in pump!

I've fixed a couple of leaks in my central heating. Upon restarting the heating was only warming 2 downstairs radiators. I've bled the system twice, but upon bleeding the pump there is no water coming out of the centre screw. The pump sounds like it is turning. I've connected the mains...

4 Wire Thermostat... Now with pictures.

Sorry, I only state the obvious, anything else is beyond me :) Interestingly, NC in electronics normally means No Connection!

    Homebase Central Heating problems.

I bought 2 'Classico' Radiators from Homebase but had problems with the mounts. They clamp around the cylindrical shape of the radiator, but failed to hold it. The radiator would slide down the mounts while it was still unfilled. Upon tightening further the 'thread' (which was cut into the...

4 Wire Thermostat... Now with pictures.

Heating, as it's not for Air Conditioning :p One of those questions that sounds obvious when someone's awnsered it :)

Flexible hoses in Central Heating system.

Thanks very much for your advice. I shouldn't have listened to the 'expert' at B&Q! I've now bought FloFit fittings and Speedfit pipe to re-do the job. Which should if anything make a nicer job. Chris

Flexible hoses in Central Heating system.

After having a nightmare moving central heating pipes to fit a new radiator, I used a couple of Flexible Hoses (the rubber pipe with stainless steel overbraid) a couple of days later I wondered whether they were in fact suitable for central heating? I've not filled the system yet, so now...

Ok, thanks. We're now considering other options!

    Lowering a concrete floor?

It's not crumply at all. It's probably the best looking concrete I've ever seen! I might try drilling into it to see if it's layered. Would the DPM be at the same level as the damp proof course in the brickwork? Is it the same thing?

    Lowering a concrete floor?

There's no way of removing the top layer by machine?

Andgle bead for drylined wall, no skimming!

Thanks for your help! I tried B&Q but they didn't have them, they did have the tape with the metal strips though. In the end I bought a some MDF for the front of the chimney, I'll still use plasterboard on the sides, but the MDF should hold up a bit better on the edges. :)

    Lowering a concrete floor?

The utility room and dining room are an extension onto the main building, they used be a completely seperate living area apparently. The wall between the lounge and dining room was then knocked through to make a large room, unfortunately the dining area/utility had had the floor layed at a...
