This isn't 'shopping' in the normal sense, it's frozen dog food (and I doubt if DHL will take back the boxes and gel packs. I can ask of course). Because of this I end up with about 36 gel packs every month .......... it's quite a recent thing though, the dog food supplier used to use their own...

My local tip is about a 40 minute drive from me. Putting the gel into the general waste is an option but there's a lot of them and due to the liquid these things are heavy when in any kind of quantity, the contents will also add a lot of bulk and there is a limit on how many black bags I can put...

If I was to put my current 'collection' of gel packs into my large chest freezer I would have more gel packs than food ........ ;)

That's a good question, I guess because of the gel there's is a danger of blocking up the soakaway?

It's not high pitched, it's just the noise of the water refilling. It's just far more noticeable than the old valve. Not a header tank? What's the name then please? Also, what's a part 2 valve?
