Thanks, its so frustrating. Its not broken off, but the grey knob - The AV i think is broke - he twisted it to let water out and now it wont tighten back up - meaning water just comes straight out. He should of taken water out of the radiators instead i think.

It seems like it has been doing it ever since they were their. He has also seem the pressure shoot up himself and said that it needs replacing without checking anything.

Hi mate, thanks. They seemed to just hoover the boiler out, what words would be best to use To the plumber? Inorder to not offend him as he is being abit touchy. And how will I know if they could do it properly?

Hi I located the air cap and pressed, some water gashed out. does this mean that the expansion vessel is completly shot? or can i pump it up as a quick fix? also is their a way of introducing a new vessel to the system without removing the old one? (im asking as ive been quoted about £300...
