    It depends what covering is on your roof. If its slate or plain tile more often than not it will be soakered with a cover flashing. If concrete tiles it will be a cover flashing or secret gutter. More infos required .

    The lip is to pick the soffit board up. Buy flat capping board instead. Be sure if you cap over existing fascia its not going to rob too much off the overhang of the tile .

    Anyone who prices for a 95% salvage deserves to get their fingers burnt. Slates may look decent enough just done a slater with decent looking welsh and only salvaged enough for one side. That was including a 12 m lean to.

    Its not really as easy as you think. You need to strip a patch of slates out and cut battens back. Doing it from the wont be easy either.

    Couple of scaffold towers with a youngman board. Not ideal and frowned upon by hse but its a platform. Bearing in mind you need somewhere to stack the stuff. It could possibly be the last excersise you do if you proceed with your plan!

    Sounds like extreme roofing your doing here! Roof irons are a scottish thing, which are best used on a sarkin roof for access up the roof with a scaffold in place. Is it not possible to hire a scaffold tower?

    Another quality installation from wreckmyroof.com! Stuff's a nightmare any repairs on your roof are now nigh on impossible. When it come to a re-roof your best hiring a crane and just lifting the whole structure off!
