    Interfering Wireless Thermostat

Not quite sure why dan_robinson is blaming the installer  I have found wireless stats not to work in blocks of flats with steel rebar. I have found some wireless stats to interfere with some wireless home alarms. Probably change the RF code and it will be sorted, easy.

Does This Price Sound Okay (Combi Boiler Replacement)?

£3000 for a boiler change is extortionate. I paid less than that for a 10 rad boiler and system in London. Not sure how anyone can say otherwise given the detailed estimate the OP gave us from the firm. The job is a basic replacement ffs!

You may as well ask the milkman for his opinion. None of them write the regs. Ask the IET and come back to us.

    Plumbers. Bless them.

The NIC do not write the regs. If I had an electrician working for me and I caught him sleeveing the earth, he would be shown the door. I have worked for numerous heating contractors and its forbidden on each firm.

The isolator isn't designed to be used on load, you should use the controls on the front of the shower. Its a free visit, call them now, they may come tonight.

Is it illegal to do this?

For the umpteenth time YES it is illegal to touch, and dangerous. This electrical equipment does not belong to you.

No electric to property at all ?

You need to call your DNO out. And you shouldn't use the pull cord to switch the shower off during use (unclear if you did this?).
