Sounds like it is just air locked. Take the shower head off the wall and place low down in the tray - turn shower on until water comes back into the pump. Allan

It certainly sounds like the gas valve - but of course the fan is responsible for extracting the gas and mixing it with air (on a premix burner like the one on your boiler). So indeed you do need a competent gas engineer to diagnose properly. Allan

If the pump iso valves are intact with no signs of leakage then you should be looking at between £60 - £120 labour only.

Don't be silly now - there are lots of repairs that a competent diy'er could tackle without endangering and life or property.. Messing with a gas train or combustion components of a gas appliance do not come under this umbrella. :roll:

Possibly a damaged mini programmer - (fused teminals).

Then you have a boiler fault. It may be that the domestice hot water sensor has gone to fault or the max burner pressure needs adjusting or the domestic hot water turbine is faulty. You need a gas safe registered engineer to diagnose properly. Allan

What isn't your boiler doing right now? is it not working in CH or hot water mode? what are the symptoms. Even if the pressure has dropped to just under one bar - it should still work. You may have an underlying fault with the boiler. Al
