    None of those valves will repressure your boiler, look for a silver braided hose somewhere else, maybe further down the pipework?

    That white exp vess is for your unvented cylinder, there will be another one somewhere, assuming your boiler is a heat only boiler, and not a system boiler.

    Somewhere in your system will be a pressure relief valve, most likely near the expansion vessel. Have a good look whether that PRV is letting water past. It may be that your expansion vessel needs recharging, I believe there's a how to in the FAQs on this site.

    Those look like Bulldog brand, as sold by Wolseley. Will the pins in the valves move up and down (only 2-3mm)?

    I've done a few of these, but not recently, from memory I used a socket to unscrew the cartridge, I also remember that you have to be v careful not to lose bits inside the valve. Lots of helpful youtube vids on it. Easy when you've done the first one.

    The arrow on the SV merely indicates direction it should be fitted, it doesn't have an NRV. You van buy outside taps with inbuilt double check valves that comply with regs.

    If the pin is seized solid, you will need to replace the entire valve, bear in mind those pins only move a couple of mm anyway. try to press it down with something soild to see if there's any movement, if not, GENTLY try to ease it up with some pliers. I swear TRV's cause more problems than they...

    I recently had this exact problem with a customers CDi. Random EA lockouts. Fortunately they live nearby, and were willing to leave a key for me. After ruling out the usual suspects, I changed the gas valve, it hasn't missed a beat since. You will need a gas bod to fit and set up new GV.

    Looks like an old gas pipe. If you need to remove it, you need to make certain it is no longer live.

    It may be worth you asking your gas supplier to check the meter governor, very rarely they have been known to "stick" on first use in the mornings. After that I'd be looking at doing some tests on the boiler.
