Will I get ripped off by engineers?

Naz - my initial impressiohates that you are depriving a village somewhere of an idiot. However, giving you the benefit of doubt; if you ever become registered to work on boilers I'd like to see you run a business (van, tools, insurance etc, etc) and undercut everyone and still be in the game...

System cleaner on new boiler install

Ffs Agile you are acting like a complete knob, just for a change. Get the chip off your shoulder, since when was it a prerequisite for an installer to have o'level chemistry or for that matter a degree! Do me a favor, next time you install a new system, after the hot flush measure the...

    DeWalt SDS drill

I've got the 213, I can't really fault it for performance. However, I'm now on the second one (wouldn't have brought it if I hadn't had the batteries) in 3 years so I'm not impressed with the build quality. Granted it's used most days but compared to other tools I can't say it's had a hard...

The plugs can be a bugger to get out with a screwdriver, I normally use a smallish chisel instead

Removing gas fire and blocking in back boiler

Rubbish, It doesn't make any difference if you are independant or working for BG, etc. Faced with this scenario you have no choice but to cap off (with the customers persmission). As to an indepenadant offering a solution, have you tried to order a replacement BB fire for same/next day...
