    Gas Safe Issue??

I have had the same thing on a LL's. Unit works perfectly well but noted down on cert that it was NCS with an explanation to them why it has been flagged up. Technically it should be classed as at risk but on advisement from the dogs a few years back the decision is up to me.

    New Shower Flow Much Reduced

Probably non return valves on the inlets and possibly on the outlet to the hose or in the hose itself. Mixer is probably only suitable for high pressure like combi boiler or unvented, not gravity. Aqualisa probably had the 22mm pipes going to it if it was an old model which would give a min of...

    How much hot water (litres)??

I think you might find that 25kw is not adequate for two 400 litre cylinders. I did a 450 litre one the other day and the coil is about 40kw. Even magaflows are 20kw plus now on a standard domestic tank.

Water drip in tundish unvented cylinder

Most unvented cylinders have instructions on them on how to recharge if the air gap has gone, well if its a megaflo. This should stop the drip through the tundish.

How do I access the headgear of this strange tap?

Undo the SS cover on the barrel, to the right of the blue dot, you can see the join in the pic. That should give access to the nut beneath to undo the barrel.

    Sanyo ASHP

I've a mate with a NIBE air source and it is costing him, sorry the house builders a forture in bills. It is costing approx £200 a month to run at the moment with an annual bill of £1500 not so cheap. He would be better putting in gas or oil heating which he has control over. And yes the...

    Rayburn Royal

Remember most old Rayburn boilers were designed to heat a cylinder and are made of copper or glass lined as they went into the direct side (hot water from tap side) so an ordinary radiator cannot be used as it will rust through in no time and give you manky water. You could go to the expense of...

    Conecting backboiler to combi boiler

Question? aren't most combi's designed to work on a sealed system and if so you cannot connect an uncontrollable heat source (stove) to a sealed system. Please correct me if wrong.

Leonard 722 Thermostatic mixing valve problem

You can still get parts for it, I would think it's the coil inside which regulates the temp or the barrels are needing cleaned. It will be listed as a Mira 722 O ring kit and a thermostatic coil for same. Should be able to be refurbished up to full working in under an hour.

Speedfit fittings onto copper pipe - immediate blow off

Will be imperial 1/2" copper not 15mm metric which the push fit is for. Not much of a difference as compression fittings work ok on the imperial 1/2" but they compress onto the pipe taking up that difference but enough for push fit to blow off or leak past the o-ring.
