    Ethernet cable

not sure Foiled cable FTP is worth it personally, unless you're talking a server rack with many intertwined runs of ethernet.

    Printer Help Please

Hi, before buying cartridges, just try hooking it up and seeing if a driver is available. Like you said, Win10 should search for one, and probably has a generic deskjet driver. If you do buy a new printer, then be prepared for it to come with cartridges to get you going, not nice full ones you...

    Is this Japanese Knotweed?

Thank you Cwhaley and Hawkeye, then that's what I'll do. :) It's not just birds that like sitting through chipped bark.... so does the neighbors cat.... for the toilet. Doh! :)

    Is this Japanese Knotweed?

Great write-up. I can cover the area in membrane, but for how long? When I moved an outdoor store box that has been sat on some of it to keep it down, I see all the white roots on the surface, I guess on their way to the light and parts that are uncovered?

Cool, so I'll blast the lawn with glythosate product, then sew grass. Thanks

    Music on Android

Sounds like one of the music players is "managing" your music collection, perhaps by importing the music into its own repository and wiping the original MP3s. I know that iTunes used to do this, if you selected the "move to my collection" option, or something worded similar.

    Greenhouse recommendation

Thanks both. OK, so the spot where it'll be located is fairly shaded from the wind (tree-lined one side, shed behind and Laurel infront), but i will take onboard the advice about polycarbonate thanks. The Rhino's look like being out of my price range, even in their winter sale £50 off a £1200...

    Greenhouse recommendation

Hi, we'd like to get a polycarbonate/aluminum greenhouse, but wonder which brands are built the best, especially the base, which we'd like to perhaps postcrete into soil? Looks like most of the polytunnels split or perish over time, e.g. shelterlogic Thanks

Roundup contains glythosate I believe, but didn't Roundup have recent bad press? Is there anything else? I'm finding it's running in a battle between lawn and weed. Thanks

    Music on Android

Sounds like a codec problem. If u r on Windows 10 I had something similar last month with video recorded on a phone, had to convert the MP4 format. Wouldn't be surprised if Microsoft messed something up in recent update? Has it just started failing in recent weeks?

    Two screens Win 10

Most modern PC towers or base units have more than one graphics output, eg HDMI and SVGA or display port or DVI. Laptops less so, and you may need a dock if on a laptop. If you have more than one base unit display port, then hook up two screens and then tweak your display settings in control...

    iMac 27inch, 2012

Do you get the welcome chime, but no image? This might be temporamental, few times it might at power up. The screen will need to come off to check the main board LEDs. If the chime occurs on occasion, it could be the GPU that's faulty. IMO whatever happens, your computer repair guy could have a...

An anyone help me with a laptop problem?

hibernate is a great option rather than "shut down" and in power options you can set this when "i close the lid" usually. Are the accounts very personal with account numbers etc? If so, does the laptop have a BIOS/startup PIN or password? Placing the laptop into shutdown or hibernate, means...

I cannot download and install Ring software on my computer

If I doesn't even download them you might want to clear your browser cache, downloaded programs etc. If that fails, then try creating a new Win10 user profile, and install to that profile, helps narrow it down.

USB drive file system - incompatibility?

I think that the exFAT USB manufacturer has joined the 21st century and bravely chosen to bin the archaic but more compatible FAT standard which your TV seems to accept. My guess is that the exFAT USB will never work with that TV, no matter what you do to it.
