    Clamping some mole grips to the brass part, along with your mat will help plus heat rises,but don't know if it will be 100% safe. Was the brass fitting soldered before the plastic was attached

    Do you have a drill? Can you drill a hole in the back of the new fitting and then extend the cables inside it.

    Sorry it probably was F1, my memory is not what it was and the incident was happening a few months agp. It was caused by a leaking diverter valve FYI.

    It's an Ideal logic 35. The boiler does cut out with an L1 or 2 ( I think )code. But when you check the pressure guage to see why it has gone off the pressure is always zero.

    Yes it has an internal EV. I think that is why ours works ok at low pressure. The height between the top of the boiler and the upstairs pipework is less than 1 metre.

    It looks to me as though it is pivoting on the runner and that the oposite end of the gate ( to where it is catching ) needs to be lowered slightly. I would have thought dropping it just 1 or 2 mm over that length would raise the lead edge that is catching. Diifficult to tell if that is...

    Gate should run parallel to the track. Consult the manual for adjustment insructions

    Does the ring with the chamferred top unscrew. If you get it off please ensure you rewire it properly, that looks like an accident waiting to happen
