    No it doesn't. If a person is on the Competent Person's Register the process is to certify that the work complies with Building Regs. Anybody else carrying out tasks, identified as notifiable, will notify LABC that they intend to carry out work.

    I just google 'Smart technology definition' and the acronym came top of the list. Just as an exercise I googled TNC and this gave our old favourite along with Trans National Corporation, so context affects results.

    Sunray doesn't claim to be a long standing Spark, but I'm sure he knows the history of the ring final circuit. There are legitimate reasons for installing lights as a ring. Just because this is new to you does not make it wrong.

    I don't have any issue understanding this term. Then again, I don't want to rewrite the regs and believe the members of JPEL/64 actually know a bit about electrical installation. Then again, I am just an electrician.

    There is an island called Ireland. In that island is a city called Derry. The island is split between Northern Ireland (part of UK) and the Republic. Derry is indeed in the north, but it still an Irish city.

    As I read this, you are moving the 2 appliances from kitchen to utility room. If this is so, it could be easier placing the sockets alongside the appliances. If you can do this you would not need the fcus.
