I have checked the manual and it is part of the Diverter valve assy. If you think this may be causing the problem I will fit a new diaphram. Thanks

How do you chekc the diaphram? Do you mean the cold supply to the tap?

Is there a special tool for removing a nut holding a tap to the sink. I cannto get my hand up to the tap so there must be a tool otherwise its a sink out job.
