    Thanks guys, that oil filled radiator might be worth a pop then, I like the idea of the heat staying in the room for a reasonable amount of time after the rad is switch off.

    Hi all, I was looking at maybe buying this, VonHaus Oil Filled Radiator. I'm just thinking, it might be cheaper to switch this on for a few bursts during the day instead of using the oil heating to warm up the kitchen and the rest of the house, when its only the kitchen we use during the day...

    If I got the plumber access to the pipes from the bedroom side, is it a difficult job changing them around? Would it take long ?

    So, those tall rads all have flow on the left, why is that? My plumber at the time must have just forgotten this. He's alwasy 100% every other time.

    No, wodden floors upstairs but the bathroom has a new vinyl floor just fitted too and I'd perfer not to lift it, can the work be done from the bedroom side and take off a section of plasterboard on that same parting wall to get at the pipes?

    My pipes are coming through the stud wall into the rad, all pipes are hidden. Bathroom wall is tiled but the stud wall that the bathrom rad is on,is also our bedroom wall.

    There you are... Is that still possible now its installed, without any wercking? So even if i did get a new rad, it wouldn't have made any difference.

    Yes, just there now, looking at the rad, the right hand side pipe warmed up first.

    Oh, your prob right, I wouldn't have known, thanks. I'm going to turn a few rads off up stairs to see if this new Rad in the upstairs bathroom warms up more, with door closed. Thanks.
