    my extension is getting done in these tiles and i need 2 vent tiles i know they are expensive(about 30 quid each) but i can get a couple of rusells grampian tiles "free and gratis" would theese be compatible with a wessex tile?

    i have just built my inner walls of my extension with these but mixing a good batch of mortar you should be ok. but yes they do absorb a lot of water building them on a hot day they would be better to build when wet but are ok at this time of year

    am building my extension and want to know when i am setting out my joists out should i set out the first one against my blockwork should i leave a small gap say 20mm this would let the spark to put his cables under the floor without drilling through them? cheers

    i am replacing my old garage roof(thanks to the wind)and have came across a product on screwfix.com called coroline corrugated sheeting. has anyone used this if so is it any good also do you know how thick it is cheers

    Garage floods

    i agree, digging round the outside of the garage would help but this would leave a "moat like" look you could also build 2 or three courses of brick against the existing and tank it(waterproof membrane) then backfill it. presto!! iain the brickie.
