    Car fag lighters

Yes, that's the USB adaptor, the lighter doesn't have it. Thinking about it, I don't see how it could have, as it has a flat surface about 18mm dia which gets red hot to do the biz. My guess is the later type with the centre contact is just for USB and other accessories, and can't accommodate a...

    Car fag lighters

All the ones I've ever come across have been the same diameter, 21mm. Pic of the adaptor attached, I haven't got the lighter to hand, bro doesn't live near me. I'm fairly sure there is no centre contact on the lighter, both peripheral, one of them making contact when it's pushed in. Thanks anyway

Should a boiler be classified as ID/AR for low gas rate/pressure?

Don't know, but the only effect in practice is gas flow and heat output about 90% of nominal.

    Car fag lighters

Yes, I'm sure, it works fine in my car. I'll try Halfords next time I'm over that way

    Car fag lighters

My brother has a 1997 Volvo, and wants to use the lighter socket to charge his phone. We tried a standard adaptor with USB port and it didn't work. Assumed it wasn't getting power, but the lighter (which came with the car) worked fine. Turned out the adaptor has a central spring-loaded contact...

OMG what is happening in Poland

Muslims aren't usually trying to convert native Brits (or others) to Islam, they're trying to import and breed Muslims, and pushing for acceptance of Islamic practices.

OMG what is happening in Poland

Yes, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't try to stop detrimental changes. Like Islamisation, as an obvious example.

    Problems with smart TRV

It might be less efficient, or it might not, and I don't want to put as much thought into it as ericmark has! I was querying you (apparently) saying the load had to be kept above 7kW as that was the minimum boiler turndown. But I'm sure the difference in efficiency (whichever way it goes)...

    Problems with smart TRV

Why? If demand is less than 7kW the boiler should work On/Off. It just needs a minimum water flow, via a bypass valve if necessary.

    Said on the news

Some of the sentences are pretty hefty, 18 years here I believe and somebody a few days ago got 35 IIRC. After years of doing nothing, or light sentencing, like the guy who was released after 1-2 years and running into his victims in the street, it seems to be going the other way.

    Problems with smart TRV

Why do you think it matters? If it's a modulating boiler (which I assume it is) it will turn down to minimum, and if the heat demand is lower it will work On/Off, until the roomstat switches the system off. It's sometimes said on this forum that good turndown is essential, even to the extent of...

    Gas tightness test

That makes about as much sense as your earlier post #21 He associates a boiler service with a car service, and points out that either can do an inadequate job. That has nothing to do with my #27. But have it your way, I'm out of here...

    Gas tightness test

OK, how does it relate to muggles's post? Why suggest changing any part, prior to the service which indicates the need? If muggles is right, all that needs changing is BG's service, make it more thorough. And anybody doing a service would find the make and age of the boiler before taking on the job.

Can you rephrase that in English please?
