no! not a good idea mate. there should be a small pipe leading to an outside wall. if theres water dripping out of that then you need a new pressure relife valve.
on older systems this may be the case but on newish ones you should have a separate control for the heating. sounds like the wirings not quite right to me. have you got a room stat?
bit more info: its not locking out just turning the burner on and off. not a problem on heating but getting insufficient hot water. think it may be ignition pcb but dont want to waste any more doh!
having a lot of trouble with a ferroli falcon. keeps cutting out on ch and hw. more so on hot water. replaced both sensors. ch overheat stat and limit stat. replaced pump and given it a good powerflush. any advise please?
