    Green and Yellow is the earth and goes in the middle, you can see that the middle tag is spot welded to the element plate. Two blues one side then the other two one way or the other which ever makes it work. As sircerebus666 has already said.

    I would be interested to know if you had the motor running all the time fault with the original fan motor or only after you replaced the fan motor and element.

    Only if it is a dual element and the regulator is a dual. My parts list reckons all elements are singles on that cooker.

    A lot of the latest Candy / Hoover appliances I have worked on have the three words on the label you don't wanna see, Made in PRC. Bosch, Electrolux group which includes Zanussi, AEG, John Lewis are a better bet. Don't dismiss Beko, Blomberg, although Turkish made are ok.

    If you look at the contacts on the underside of the switch there could be obvious damage normally the front pair. Then replace the switch. I was going to add to my first post, make sure the clock isn't in auto.

    The wash pump would of been humming if it needed a new capacitor. The only other thing to have a look at is the wiring loom in the door for a broken wire.

    The wash pump isn't kicking in,possible wash pump capacitor, can you hear it humming before the heating noise. You have the correct sequence, drain,fill, but then no wash pump.

    You could put some insulating tape over any connector ends just in case. The three black and one white wire coming from the back of the heater box are the connections for the double dryer element, once taken out of circuit the machine should work as a washing machine.

    The three black wires and the one white wire that go to the white connector are the dryer element wires. Disconnect at the white connector block.

    Most likely your drum support has broken allowing movement into the seal. Get each of the drum lifters in turn to the bottom of the drum and push down, one or more of the supports will be broken.

    If you have put one wire on each side and not two together it should work, unless your replacement element wasn't a genuine or equivalent quality. Ideally the replacement element should come in a sealed bag otherwise they absorb moisture and trip straight away.
