Hi , your panic button has its own tamper circuit which appears to be at fault , you can either investigate why it is faulty , or bypass it with a small link at the panel.The PA and its tampers are grouped together.

Do you have a panic button? , A and tamper led is the PA tamper circuit.

300 Series. Enter user code , then press NO before entry time expires , then press NO until the option you require is flashing , in your case PROGRAM , press YES , enter new code , press YES , enter code a second time , press YES then press 0 to leave program mode.

The remote keypad is powered from the main panel , usually 4 or 6 cores required 12v 0v , data pair and tamper.

You need to clear the tamper condition , close the panel lid first and press RESET see if it clears also check all detector lids.If not , put a link between the TAMPER connections , then the bell tamper (T + A).

Remove mains and battery , power up mains first , use your code to silence ... 0123 if it doesnt work.

Pg 36 , zone disable suit , for zones that are not being used , you will require the engineers code though.

You do have the correct engineers code don't you?.If so then all you have to do is read the instructions , and program as desired , there is nothing to stop it working :) try this.. press PROG , enter eng code **** , press PROG , 3 (this chooses program 3) press 6 ( this is exit mode)...

Pages 34 to 40 , you have to say which zones are being used ( or not) , how they react ( timed ,immediate etc), and most importantly the exit mode (timed , silent etc).

The flashing led means there is a power problem , could be a tripped MCB , a blown fuse in the spur , a blown fuse at the incoming connector in the panel or a blown transformer.Use your dvm , there should be about 18v AC at the transformer output. Oh , and don't press the spring 3 times , it...

If you are not using a bell tamper , then you must link out the tamper circuit, place a link between 0v and TR.

Using the link method on some models , you have to ensure all zones/tampers are clear , and the panel goes to day mode...then the panel defaults.

Have a read of page 17 in the G4 manual. :wink:

Pretty sure the PA4 was the AJ600 ...horrible panel.
