Thank Tony would this explain why it pressurises & when turned off goes back down below red marker . if it helps boiler is 16 yr old & i have fitted several parts in the past , the boiler is still working perfect on heat & water & i dont want to scrap it Thanks DEN

I have a sime 102 de luxe losing water from pressure relief valve, I have changed the valve but as soon as heating is turned on it pressurises & still leaks from the valve any ideas please , british gas £75 just to look
