    Changeover switch

Hallo Coljack, I spotted this MK switch, but, as you say, it would back feed the GSHP when on boost. I don't think that's a good idea, and and if I ask the manufacturer I think I know what the answer will be. I've already had the GSHP controller replaced under warranty, so I'm nervous...

    instant hot water taps

Hello, If you want a decent cup of tea, make sure it's like a quooker that keeps a pressurized reservoir at ~103C, so that the stuff that comes out of the tap is at 100C. http://www.tlc-direct.co.uk/Main_Index/Water_Heating_Index/Quooker_Taps/index.html There are others that heat...

    Changeover switch

Hello londonboy, you've described exactly the way the GSHP supplier has wired it. I'm trying to figure out a way of switching the immer manually from inside the airing cupboard without screwing up the gshp controller, hence the need for somekind of changeover sw.

    Changeover switch

Morning everyone, I'm looking for a way to switch an immersion heater from two sources. My first thought is to use a changeover sw to either the heatpump controller or manual switch. I'd hoped to find a double pole 2 way switch that looks a bit like this : I cant find one; anyone know...

Wiring Induction Hob and Electric Oven

BAS: A bit OTT, but I've got SS pans with a copper layer in the base, and they work perfectly with induction hobs. Need to make sure they're compatible before you buy - not all types are. Doesn't make my cooking any better though. Edit for spelling

    INSTALLING HOB OVER INTEGRATED APPLIANCE

Not sure it's a good idea to put a hot thing near a fridge or freezer - it will make the fridge work harder, and reduce it's life whilst burning more juice. I'd shy away from having the washing machine near the hob as well - greasy spills etc might end up the wifes silk undies, and then I'd...

    Dusk til Dawn Lamps

Morning Spike, I've got a couple of CFL's with inbuilt D2D sensors miunted in bulkhead fittings about 6m apart on the same wall. Seems to work ok; they come on and go off at different times as the sun advances and retreats around the corner. I've never quite understood how they work - I...
