Thanks for the replies.... As I have experience of Makita I may as well stick with it as I’ve had no problems. Shame this will be drill number 3 and not because any have broken on me!
I’ve been using Makita for years.... just drill/drivers and impact drivers. Had an older brushed drill and a great dtd454 impact driver get nicked a couple of years ago and I replaced the drill with the top of the range Makita dhp481. Never got another impact driver as I had used it loads for my...
Now there are conservatories and there are conservatories ..... if it’s an unheated greenhouse to store your bike in it’s overpriced..... if it’s Crystal Palace, then it’s a bargain.
I too would not bother, but if you feel you have to, why not construct some sort of wooden frame on the slab out of 4x2 - kind of like a decking base with joists spaced appropriately to support the tub and fill the gaps with 100mm eps.
;) Couldn’t help posting. I saw this beauty whilst out and about. The photos just don’t do it justice. Looks so much “better” in the flesh. You can’t see the twist from the photos.
So what do you think of my new wall? Probably going to put an advert on mybuilder website to get some business. Anyone need a brickie? I’m fairly cheap.
Looking good so far. Plenty of support is the order of the day. MDF slumps like hell - I want to see these lights in action...
Ps, fit a jam jar full of raw liver to your bear. Works a treat on my Pudsey.
MDF would be easier to work with than ply - but I would make sure it is well supported so it doesn't sag over time. On another thought, ply would paint better than MDF. MDF doesn't like moisture from paint and goes fury....
Is that your "comfort bear" for cinema nights on your own?
Jesus..... passenger seat fully reclined, back seat folded down, lie it in so it sticks about 1.5m out the back, blankets over it where the boot lid will hit, tie boot lid down and tie a hi-viz vest to the end. Job done. I’ve transported some crazier **** than that before!
You'll be blowing £400+ on wood ballast and cement for a swanky fence like the one you pictured. I'd be getting over my fear of heras fencing, looking on ebay for used, then selling again once done..... free hire.
The hot tub will be a fair weight. I'd want a concrete pad for it myself. So I'd go for number 1. Anyhow, what are you doing lording it up in a hot tub? You started swinging or something?
And yes, that roof will spoil the ambience.... although not removable I'd go for a timber framed 4 hip...
So you’re going for a recessed central part.... I went the opposite way round and dropped the central part. Leds hidden round the edge.... all bling like! Might be cheaper!
