    Thats exactly what I would do , but before that , i would run a perimeter mastic seal to exclude draughts

    Make sure you have doubled joists , bolted togethor , under the partitions and also under any bath . Check also that there are solid blocking pieces between the joists , depending on the span , 2 rows may be needed .. As for creaking floor boards , a chippie i was with last week is now...

    The bolt size will depend on the frame size / height and the base plate size . I would get the engineer who designed the frame to give you this info , he has most likely just ommitted to supply you with all the info .
