Boiler located in small hut next to house

tks Tony, but have a neighbour in my present street who told me horror story about condensing boiler, needed new pipes as old ones did not fit (too narrow if I remember), also could condensing boiler be in a (maybe better or adjusted) hut. It is solid brick construction after all. And apart from...

Boiler located in small hut next to house

tks for all the replies, still not sure what should be unsafe, also moving the boiler would be enormously disruptive as rest of house is in 1A condition, no chance to rip up floors etc, how can one make the boiler safe in its present location?

Intend to buy a detached house - has gasboiler in shed/hut just next to ourside wall, access via a door to the hut (size just enough for a boiler, overall height around 1.5 m), vent/flue just just out above the roof of the boiler hut). There is about 2 m space between house wall and fence to...

Also not easy to interfere, chap is aggressive, threatening, so not...

Business use - what is allowed?

Live in Residential street, nearly all detached properties. A neighbour is a builder and has a skip semi-permanently in his drive. Uses it to get rid of building waste he brings home in his van. Is this allowed? Should there not be some regulations that control this commercial waste disposal...

Sealing a capped flue without any airbricks

Tks for reply, silly question, if it is airtight, how does it get sodden? At moment there is NO air flue/vent/cap whatsoever, could I put one vent on outside wall? and cap on top?

Sealing a capped flue without any airbricks

22 years ago I renovated a detached 1930s house. All the chimneys are blocked on top and also where the fireplaces were. Probably not ideal, and from time to time I worry, but so far no prob. One roofer even said I should not worry. Question: how dangerous can it be? Can I just open the top...
